The Climate

Pineda de Mar enjoys a typically Mediterranean climate, with hot summers, although not extreme, and mild winters. Average temperature fluctuates around seventeen degrees, making our town a pleasant destination any time of the year.

During July and August, the thermometer reaches top temperatures exceeding slightly thirty degrees, which ensures the enjoyment of sun and beach without having to endure an excessive heat. To the contrary, in winter, temperature seldom goes down lower than five degrees, and fog, frost, hail or snows are very rare indeed.

The wettest months are usually those in the autumn, but precipitations almost never become torrential rainstorms, and due to the gentle Pineda orography, it prevents the sudden swelling of natural riverbeds, a common occurrence in nearby towns. Furthermore, the protection of the coastal mountain range prevents the town to be wind swept aggressively.

In short, pleasant mild temperatures and the great number of sunny days Pineda de Mar enjoys, the warm spring and autumn, and the balmy coolness of the summer dusks, make the town an ideal place to indulge inoutside activities almost all year round.
