Transports

There are three types of urban transport in Pineda de Mar.

•  The bus service offers one line operating Monday to Saturday.

The line links Pineda de Mar with the neighbouring town of Calella, with last stop in its hospital. From Monday to Friday, first bus leaves at 7:15 a.m. and service finishes at 7:15 p.m. On Saturdays, first bus leaves at 9:15 a.m. and services finishes at 18:15 p.m.

• The "Xino-Xano" is a pleasant type of transport available during the summer months and it has become a tourist attraction in itself. It's nothing more than a tractor disguised as a railway locomotive pulling two or more wagons. It runs an itinerary along the town's touristic areas from May till October.

•    Pineda de Mar also provides an efficient taxi service. There are two taxi ranks easily traceable. The first is located in Plaça de l'Estació (Station Square) by the railway station, and the second in the Avinguda de la Hispanitat (Hispanitat Avenue) in Poblenou neighbourhood (meaning Newtown and adjacent to Calella). They can also be reached by telephone calling 93-7672193 or 93-7660062.
